In a diverse artistic practice encompassing video, performance, collage, installation, and sculpture, Gray Wielebinski navigates the crossroads of mythology, identity, gender, popular culture and memory. Drawing inspiration from both ancient and contemporary myths, Wielebinski's upbringing in Texas influences his exploration of myth-making and power dynamics. Collage, a central mode of creation for Wielebinski, encapsulates his process of layering imagery, materiality, and concept across various mediums, often incorporating their extensive personal archive.
